Institutional Identity

Veritaum is an independent institution for advanced secondary scholarship in the humanities and social sciences.

Founded in 2016 as the home of The Schola, it advances publication and provides institutions with external scholarly review at the point where sustained intellectual work first becomes possible. Its purpose is to cultivate disciplined inquiry in the formative years of scholarship and to preserve that work within the permanent record.

Veritaum operates through two integrated functions: a publishing arm that curates and archives exemplary research, and a scholarly review framework that evaluates advanced student work against publication-level standards. Together, these functions establish continuity between early scholarship and the broader intellectual tradition.

From the initial sustained argument to research approaching publication standards, Veritaum provides a framework in which secondary scholarship is evaluated, refined, and archived.
